Meet the team

Richard Manville, managing director

Richard began his career in sales after travelling and teaching in Kenya. His market expertise means he is able to seek out, build and nurture long-term partnerships with clients. These relationships enable us to provide fundraising services to schools free of charge, helping them to raise even more! Richard ensures the company remains competitive and innovative, swiftly adapting the business strategy according to changes in the market. After identifying an emerging need for school business managers to engage in fundraising activities, Richard decided to launch FundEd for schools.

Carol Rogerson, editor PTA+

Carol is an experienced publishing professional with a background in consumer magazines. Her skills include print and digital publishing, commissioning, writing, editing and art direction. She plans the magazine, online editorial and emails, making sure all content resonates with our audience. Carol is always looking for ways to help our small team achieve as much as we possibly can. She is mum to one school-age child, and an active member of the school's PTA, focusing on publicity and communications. She is also involved with The Railway Land Wildlife Trust in Lewes.

Jane Hughes, editor FundEd

Jane worked as a national newspaper and magazine journalist for many years (with regular articles in The Times, The Independent, Independent on Sunday, Financial Times, Mail on Sunday,  Sunday Times, Newsweek, Evening Standard, Red, Marie Claire and more). She was also PR Director at Sans Frontiere Marketing Communications and has worked as a freelance copywriter and editor.

In 2011, she became a secondary school English teacher and in January 2019, she combined her experience of journalism and education by joining FundEd as Editor. She continues to work part-time as an English Teacher and so has first hand experience of the current funding issues in education.

Sarah Everson, admin assistant

Sarah joined us when her youngest daughter started pre-school. Sarah thrives on variety: one minute she's liaising with subscribers and advertisers on the magazines, the next she's researching and compiling our grants database. Sarah also writes features for both PTA+ and FundEd Magazines.  In her 'spare' time, Sarah's the secretary of the (very successful) PTFA at her daughter's school and leader in charge of a local Guide unit.

Roz Smith, accounts support

Roz began her career as a PA for the director of a charity, before moving into due diligence. Following her maternity leave, Roz joined Community Inspired, where she assists the managing director in day-to-day activities, taking responsibility for email and online activity, particularly our Facebook suppliers directories. Roz has two school-age children.

Emma Griffin, accounts support

Emma joined the team in February 2019 after a fun stint helping a national charity's local branch with their fundraising. She has spent most of her working life in advertising and marketing agencies, which saw her manage a variety of campaigns for a lot of different companies (a personal favourite being clients within the professional matchmaking industry). Emma looks after some of our advertising clients and is responsible for researching new products, resources and workshops to feature in our magazines, as well as putting together our giveaways page. She has three school-age children and is passionate about supporting schools and PTAs
